Google Search Tips: Part Three


Some daily use applications of Google search:

1) Dictionary:
By using define operator Google can be use as a dictionary. Just type define: word (whose meaning to be search in web dictionary.)
Examples:
a. define: introvert It will give definition of word introvert
b. define: Google It will give definition of Google from web dictionary


2) Calculator:
Google can be use as a calculator with the help of operators like +, -, *, /, % of, ^
Examples:

a. 5 % of 2 It will give first search result as 5% of 2 = 0.1

b. 2^5 It will give search result as 2^5 = 32



3) Movie Times:
To know reviews and show times for movies playing near your area, type movies in Google search. If you've already saved your location on a previous search, the top search result will display show times for nearby theaters. If You want to find out show times of some other city then type :
movies New York (movies city name)


4) Weather:
To know whether of your area type weather and city name in Google search
weather New York


5) Time:
To see the time in many cities around the world, type in time and the name of the city
For example: time New York


6) Local Businesses:
If you're looking for a shop, restaurant, or other local business you can search for the category of business and the location and Google will return the results along with a map, reviews, and contact information.
For example: New York Chinese food


7) Airline Travel Info:
To see flight status for arriving and departing U.S. flights, type in the name of the airline and the flight number into the search box.
For example: American airlines 18
